No photograph you place on this board is sent anywhere. The board layout is stored in this browser so you can come back to it, and Clear board deletes it.

What happens to a photograph you open

It is read by the browser into memory, turned into three sizes — a tray thumbnail, a screen copy and, at export time only, the original at full resolution — and drawn onto a canvas. When you close the tab all three are gone. There is no request carrying picture data anywhere in this site, and the build refuses to publish if one appears.

What is written to your browser

• The board itself: width, height, unit, dots per inch and the ground colour.
• Every frame: where it sits, how large it is, its angle, its opacity, its crop window and its place in the stack.
• A label for each photograph: the file name and its pixel dimensions, so a restored board knows which file belongs in which frame.

No pixels. Not the originals, not the working copies, not even the thumbnails. That is why a restored board shows named outlines rather than pictures, and it is a deliberate trade: the inconvenience is real and it is smaller than keeping copies of your photographs on your disk without saying so.

It lives in this browser’s IndexedDB, on this device, under this site’s name only. The Clear board button removes it immediately, and so does clearing site data in your browser settings.

Measurement

Nothing is counting you here today. No analytics property has been set up for this domain, so the pages ship without a measurement script of any kind and not one page view is recorded. Your browser asks the host for a page, the host sends it, and that is the end of the exchange.

If measurement is ever switched on it will be Cloudflare Web Analytics on a property belonging to this site alone — no cookie, no identifier, no profile, and nothing beyond the fact that a page was asked for, roughly from where, and how long it took to appear. This section is rewritten in the same release that turns it on, never afterwards.

Advertising

This site is built to carry Google advertising, and none of it is running yet. The domain has not been through AdSense review, the switch in the code is off, and no page requests anything from an ad network at the moment — which means that as things stand there is no third-party content on the site at all. The typefaces are served from this domain too.

When it is approved, Google AdSense fills those bands under its own policies and may use cookies to decide what to show. It is never handed a photograph, because no photograph leaves your browser. Blocking the bands changes nothing about the board either way — no code here looks to see whether an advertisement arrived.

Children

This site is not directed at children, collects no account information from anyone, and has no way to identify an individual visitor.

Changes

If what is stored ever changes, this page changes with it in the same release. There is no notification list to join, because there is nothing to notify you at.
