Arranging many photos without visual noise
More photographs do not automatically tell a fuller story. A strong many-image collage uses hierarchy so the eye knows where to enter and how to move.

Remove near-duplicates before layout. Two almost identical frames compete for attention while adding less information than one confident selection.

Group by event, colour, direction or time, then decide whether the groups should mix or occupy distinct regions. Random order rarely feels genuinely spontaneous.

Reserve larger cells for the few images that carry faces, text or the narrative turn. Equal grids are useful when the set itself, rather than one hero frame, is the subject.

Check the layout at final display size. Tiny busy frames become noise first, and no amount of border styling will restore detail that the presentation cannot show.
