A collage photo frame that opens on a square board with every photo mounted in a white mat on warm paper. Pick another look — a thin border, rounded corners, a black frame, a lifted shadow — and every cell changes together.
A worked example: the gallery mat
The looks
- Thin white border and black frame — a line inside each photo’s edge.
- Gallery mat — a wide white margin, more space and a soft shadow.
- Rounded, soft and lifted — corners and shadows.
| Background | Made from |
|---|---|
| White, black, any colour | A fill |
| Cream, kraft, linen paper | Generated grain, no image file |
| A photo, blurred | One of your photos, drawn tiny and scaled up |
When another mode is better
Instant-print cards scattered on paper: polaroid collage. Printing it: photo collage print.
Your photos never leave this device.
Frames are flat borders and shadows; carved or textured wooden frame edges are not drawn.
Asked and answered
Are the borders and shadows in the exported file?
Yes. They are part of the board and drawn by the same routine at export size, so the file looks like the screen.
What is a gallery mat?
A wide white margin round each photo, with more space between them and a soft shadow, like prints mounted behind card.
Can I use a photo as the background?
Yes. Choose A photo, blurred under Behind the photos, then pick which one. It is drawn small and scaled up, which blurs it the same way in every browser.
Are the paper backgrounds images?
No. Cream, kraft and linen are generated by the page from a colour and a seeded grain, so there is nothing to download or licence.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Framing and export happen in this tab.
