Photo wall layouts that remain balanced
A wall arrangement is read as one silhouette before any photograph is inspected. Outer edges and gaps therefore matter as much as the individual frames.

Choose one anchor piece and place secondary frames relative to it. Starting from every corner independently produces inconsistent gaps and no visual centre.

Keep either centres, baselines or gutters consistent; do not try to align all three when frame sizes differ. One governing rule is enough to make variation deliberate.

Balance visual weight rather than dimensions alone. A dark portrait can outweigh a larger pale landscape and may need more breathing room or an opposing dark frame.

Mock the arrangement at the actual wall ratio and measure the full outside rectangle. Furniture, switches and eye level are constraints, not details to solve after printing.
